Tournament Format
- Entry is open to male golfers aged 21 and over with a verified handicap of 28 or less.
- The Tour uses a Modified Stableford points system. Each player's quota is determined by subtracting their handicap from 54.
- Hole scoring awards points as follows:
- Double bogey: 1 point
- Bogey: 2 points
- Par: 3 points
- Birdie: 5 points
- Eagle: 7 points
- Double eagle (albatross) or hole-in-one: 9 points
- The field is organized into flights, typically comprising 14 to 25 players each. Players compete within their own flight for both the main tournament purse and the skins competition.
Rookie Player Restrictions
- Players participating in their first event are subject to a potential quota adjustment between Saturday and Sunday's rounds, as determined and communicated by the Tour Director.
- First-time participants may join their flight’s skins game but are not eligible for the New Sheriff or the Sunday Tournament competitions.
- A first-time participant may not finish higher than third in their flight, regardless of overall points.
- Eligibility for the hole-in-one prize is granted if dues have been paid.
- These restrictions apply only to the player’s first event; they are fully lifted thereafter.
Costs
- Annual Tour membership is $50, running from December through November. Membership includes Player of the Year and other top-10 trophies, $5 into the hole-in-one pot, and a year-end banquet held each December.
- Monthly event fees for the 2018 season range from $120 to $190, covering two days of golf, cart, range balls, and tournament prize fund.
- An optional $30 buy-in grants access to both days’ skins game, the Sunday tournament, the New Sheriff (overall points competition), and closest-to-the-pin prizes on all par 3s.
Prize Structure
- Payouts are in cash.
- Flight payouts:
- 1st place: 40% of flight purse
- 2nd place: 30%
- 3rd place: 20%
- 4th place: 10%
- $25 from each entry funds the flight purse. (E.g., 20 players = $500; 1st = $200, 2nd = $150, 3rd = $100, 4th = $50.)
- The optional package includes:
- Entry to skins for both days
- Sunday competition: Most points above quota on Sunday wins 50% of the purse; 2nd and 3rd receive 30% and 20% respectively
- Overall (New Sheriff): Top three combined over-quota scores for both days; purse split 50%-30%-20%
- Closest-to-the-pin prizes for all par 3s
This format blends competitive play with opportunities for all players to win prizes throughout the event, regardless of their performance in earlier rounds.
